Dimensionality is the amount of possible spatial axes that are all perpendicular to each other. Different universes may have different dimensionalities.

In Spaceville, there are three dimensions of space and one dimension of time throughout most of existence. Objects of lower or higher dimensionalities are commonly found, usually as life forms. The reason for this is historical. Objects with dimensionalities not native to Spaceville can be identified by the presence of a substance known as ink.

The diversity of life forms in terms of dimensionality sometimes leads to conflict, which is known as dimensionism.
