The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy that contains Ocelordia and a few other major space communities.
Like all galaxies, it began to form shortly after the Big Bang as a collection of star clusters that gradually merged into one large system of some 670 billion stars. Life in the Milky Way began independently on a few worlds, but most of the galaxy's current population evolved from mutated shpineapples originating on planet Creatur.
The current estimated population is 8.3 trillion, not including Indi. The Milky Way is orbited by several dwarf galaxies such as the Magellanic clouds, tourists from which often visit their parent galaxy.
